There are very strong chemicals in liquid jewelry cleaners and jewelers cloths. If they are not used properly and exactly as instructed, it could cause possible damage to the design. DO NOT EVER clean custom jewelry piece with any cleaner that is not made specifically to clean jewelry: No matter what anyone has been told, said or heard, gold, sterling silver and platinum should never ever be cleaned with anything besides products made exclusively for cleaning jewelry. Meaning: Do not ever use toothpaste, bleach, window cleaner, lemon juice, etc. If any cleaning product is used that is not made to specifically clean jewelry, there is great risk and chance that the incorrect cleaner will possibly dull or damage the custom jewelry piece.
